It's Grandparent Week! Our grandparent/grand friends are important to us at KCA. We feel they are a gift from God! Let’s bless them!
We cannot do our regular grandparent/grand friend day like we usually do. So this year, we are going to show them how much they mean to us in a different way. Please take the time to think about all they mean to you and your family.
Put your ideas of how much they mean to you and put it in a short video maybe even with a song, story or poem. Make a card/letter to mail. Use your wild imagination to share how much you love them. Let’s bless the socks off them this next week.
All entries will be put in a draw for two pizzas. One pizza for you and one pizza for your grandparent/grand friend. If they don’t live in Cranbrook, we will send them a pizza gift card or email transfer etc.
Please have all blessings to Mrs. Zurrin @ wzurrin@kcacademy.ca by Saturday, May 30th by 6 pm.

Monday was Music Monday, the national day for music education! So this week, we want to hear - or see - your best musical performance! Sing a song, do a dance, play the flugalhorn, write a musical - the sky is the limit! All families who make a submission by the end of Friday will have their names put into a draw to get Happy Cow ice cream! Check out Mrs. Zurrin's contribution!

May 1: Hero day and comunity thank yous

Show some love to the essential workers in our community! There are so many local people who are superheroes during this pandemic time - health workers, grocery store workers, teachers, truck drivers, delivery folks. Choose one (or many) and let them know you appreciate them! Put a heart up in your window, draw a thank you in chalk on your sidewalk, email your teacher a thank you, sing a song to thank the doctors, etc. Be creative! Two great community initiatives started by others include posting signs at McPherson's Funeral Home and the White Heart Project organized by EKFH. Send in your acts of appreciation to Mrs. Zurrin. Let's show Cranbrook how much KCA appreciates our local heroes!

april 24:

Build an obstacle course in your house or backyard (or through both)! CONGRATULATIONS to Addison and Maylee Webb for winning the obstacle course draw! Everyone's courses looked awesome!
